Julia is a senior solicitor with broad range of corporate and commercial legal experience including at corporate office/board level, with specialist experience in the oil and gas, chemicals, engineering construction and related industries and more recently in the pharmaceuticals sector. Julia’s key areas of legal practice include company and commercial contract law; particularly in upstream and midstream oil and gas, engineering construction, shipping, industrial chemicals and pharmaceuticals sectors, corporate and non-recourse project finance and hedging, technology licensing; also supply and distribution including franchising.

Julia is currently the part-time General Counsel for Knightsbridge group; an independent specialty chemicals manufacturer, and is also the sole principal of her law firm, having received accreditation from the UK Solicitors Regulation Authority as a Recognized Sole Practitioner, and is Commercial Services Director at Aspen Waite Legal.
Texaco
Julia first worked in-house at Texaco’s UK head office, where she worked on a number of major joint ventures, both in the exploration and production division and also in refining and distribution.
Halliburton / Kellogg Brown & Root
Prior to 2000, Julia worked as a senior legal adviser at the UK head office of oilfield services company Halliburton and its sister company Kellogg Brown & Root, an international engineering construction contractor; having assisted with the set-up of Halliburton Energy Development, an integrated services division providing “turnkey” services combining the expertise of downhole services and reservoir management with Engineer, Procure, Construct and also post- construction facilities management.
